![]() ![]() There may be no equivalent CoreAudio SDK in Windows to allow that inter-application function.Maybe, but before that and until recently, there was the Send/Return way to interface the renderer/DAPS. This is only speculation on my part, but I suspect it has more to do with the Dolby Audio Bridge. Dolby is a strange company, I can only assume there is some trade policy reason around this, not a technical one. It´s one of those things that nobody (that uses Windows) understands, given the mastering suite runs on a PC. Essentially to test the waters or at least premix in Atmos for now without buying a mac.Īnyone else in a similar situation? It would be nice to know if it's being developed at least.Totally agree. Hoping Dolby adds a Windows option as I'm sure other Windows users would like to expand and invest in Atmos but are hesitant to jump to a expensive RMU without having the basic production suite to try first on Windows. ![]() Supposedly you may be able to DPS on Nuendo on a PC? Has anyone confirmed this. They also offer the dolby atmos mastering software for windows so why not the production suite? Seems like ot would be a simple port. According to production expert polls most people nowadays are using Windows for pro tools users anyway. Buying an overpriced Mac Pro for one program and switching from windows os is a big thing. I've been waiting over a year for dolby production suite for windows.
